Burpham and Wepham together form a small rural community of about 300 residents, but we have a great many social activities to enjoy.  Please click on individual page links for details

Good Companions

Burpham Village Hall and Recreation ground

The Good Companions is an informal gathering meeting at peoples' houses to arrange social events and outings. This includes Theatre visits, bowling and darts evenings, river trips and visits to gardens. 

The Burpham Village Hall and recreation ground is a charity set up to manage the Village hall, the Saxon burgh where the playing field field stands, the car park, and the playground.  The management committee (also known as Burpham Village Committee), meets quarterly.  You can see more about its organization, charter and fundraising activities here​​

Our Fete

Investment Club

We hold a village fete annually or as a biennial event
Our investment club The club meets every month to discuss existing and new investments, in shares or investment trusts. 

St Mary's Church


The Friends of Burpham Church raises money to maintain the fabric of St Mary's, while the Parochial Church Council is concerned with the management of the Church from a religious and community perspective
There are two notice boards, one by the Village hall and one in Wepham. You can post notices here. You can also post to our Facebook page  or add items into our monthly Newsletter (baynes55@btinternet.com).

Complaints about disturbances

We have created a complaints form for those vilagers that have experienced undue noise or disrptions from village events. Please use this form to complain so that we can deal with your issue appropriately and in a timely manner.
